Our Bedroom With Linen House
We recently felt that we could use a revamp in our bedroom décor. Without making expensive changes or investing into artwork, we decided a change of bedding would be the perfect solution. Too often I see a nicely designed room with the drabbest bedding- the bed is the star attraction of the bedroom so let it be the most inviting space you’ve ever seen!
There is a myriad of bedding options out there and it can become incredibly confusing to know where to begin. To start, think of how you want to feel when you walk into your room- would you like it to be moody and snug, invigorating and enticing, perhaps bright and fun? For us, we want our bedroom to feel cosy, inviting, fresh and of course comfortable.
To create this feeling of cosiness, we felt a velvet quit cover would be the way to go. It looks and feels luxe, works with our existing velvet bedhead and is a fabric that is very on trend. To keep it inviting and fresh, we opted for warm pastel colours (I didn’t even need much convincing to opt for shades of peach, off white and pink) with accents of (faux) fur. And lastly for the sake of comfort, beautiful bamboo cotton sheets in a classic white (which I actually find easiest to keep white as a soak in Napisan does wonders).
Where did we find all this under the one roof? Linen House! Linen House are Melbourne based (we love supporting home grown brands), and have the most incredibly large range of bedding, homewares and bathroom products that cater to all palates and budgets to keep your #interiorgoals on point. I also love browsing their website as they have beautifully styled beds which will lend you a hand when styling your own (I'm hopeless when it comes to the arrangement of cushion). We were able to pull together a bedding look that remodelled our room and created an environment that makes bedtime our favourite part of the day. Their range is available to peruse and shop with online if there isn’t a stockist near you.
